Kale breakfast smoothie (yes, kale for breakfast!)

This is a great smoothie to start your day.

 

  • 2 cups of kale or spinach
  • 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
  • ¾ cup of strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon of organic walnut butter or 1/4 avocado
  • ¼ cup of parsley or mint leaves
  • 1 scoop of plant based vanilla protein
  • 1 1/2 cups of water

Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.
Adjust the consistency with more water or some ice cubes if necessary.
Pour into a glass and serve.

Kale is a very good source of vitamins A, C and K. It promotes digestion, reduces inflammation, stimulates the immune system, lowers cholesterol and promotes heart health.

Hemp seeds support brain health, help with weight loss and digestion. An excellent source of magnesium and omega-3.
